The Powder Springs Woman’s Club was established in 1959 as a non-profit philanthropic organization made up of professional women of all ages, races and religions who share a common goal: to work together to improve our local community, socially, physically, culturally and educationally.

Powder Springs Woman’s Club encourages its members to become interested, involved citizens of the community by engaging in charitable activities that benefit the community as a whole.  While no minimum number of hours is required to maintain membership, the Club offers a range of volunteer opportunities in six general areas:   Arts, Education, Public Affairs, Conservation, Home Life and International Affairs.

Since organizing in 1959, the club has opened the first local library and health center, initiated the Story Hour Program, purchased a hearing machine and assist the nurse in the local health center.

We award two scholarships each year, since 1975, and support community services such as supplying all local area schools with defibrillators and other identified needs of the children in the Powder Springs area including Bethel Gardens, needy families
and MUST Ministries.
